That is why let’s just have a look on several visible ones and touch the iceberg’s base.
Myers-Briggs Personality Tests
Most probably the big fish swimming close to the iceberg of marketing psychology of personality types is the Myers-Briggs personality theory. This personality test is a popular and respected valuation tool, which was first used in the 1940s.
Developed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers, initially it was inspired by the personality theory of Jung, this test suitably distinguishes people’s personalities through 16 categories, serving as a supply for each person with a four-letter acronym.
Along with all of these, this test also provides insights on person’s communication strengths and weaknesses, overall communication style, mentality, the way they see and perceive the world and the way in which they express themselves. So, let’s have a closer look at the particles of the iceberg with some specific examples of personality tests. The first touch would be to 16 Personalities test.
1. 16 Personalities
This test touches upon the general aspects of personality: nature, energy, identity, tactics, mind and more. This test is based on the 16 Personalities covers five broad personality aspects: mind, energy, nature, tactics, and identity. The test is based on the Myers-Briggs test and the study of psychological traits by Carl Gustav Jung; two major overviews that are trying to theorize our personalities. The core ideas of the test would give a sense of how a person communicates both personally and professionally, the way their decision-making process works and what are they starving for.
We can openly call this test a popular one, considering the fact that it has been taken around 126 million times, and is currently available in 30 languages.
2. Personality Perfect
Corresponding to 16 Personalities, this test is also based on the two major psychological theories discussed above. This test type concentrates on 4 major:
