George's Barbershop is a well-known spot in Leaside, Toronto, where George, the owner and master barber, offers excellent haircuts and styling. Whether it's a classic cut or something more modern, their team of expert barbers is there to craft the perfect style for customers, making sure they feel confident and look great. The barbershop is where clients find a look that highlights their individuality. George and his team sought expertise to step up their online game to reach more people and make it easier for customers to find them and book appointments. That's where we came in.
For the website design, George's Barbershop wanted something classy and easy to use, with a special focus on showing all the different haircuts and services they offer. The old website was gold and navy blue. We suggested keeping these colours or trying a new, fancy black and gold look. They liked the black and gold idea better, which made the website look elegant and modern.
A notable design innovation was the use of vertical text in certain sections. Despite the technical challenges this presented, we implemented sticky functionality for the text, ensuring it remained accessible as users scrolled through the page. This way we made sure that the website is easy to use and stands out from the rest.

We added lots of pictures, some sliding images, videos, and clickable tabs to make the site fun to explore and use. The whole website was built using WordPress, which means it's easy for George and his team to update things like services and prices whenever they need to.
We worked through some challenges, especially with making sure the website could show a lot of photos and videos without slowing down.
