Businesses must adapt to changes in the market to remain competitive and profitable.
Google has rocked the advertising world with some light news on a Friday.
The company has officially stopped showing ads on the right hand side of desktop Search Results worldwide.
Starting from February 19, 2016, Google began phasing out the right hand sidebar ads. Instead Google will show 1-4 ads above the SERP and force the rest of the ads to the bottom of the SERP.
So, what does this mean for the marketers and users?
For businesses this means that the organic space matters and is more precious, consequently it will lead to an even more focus on SEO.
For Paid Search advertisers the change will certainly drive up average CPCs as the competition for the top “slots” increases.
